Company expands, has created Boston jobs

Posted on January 5, 2016

One company is expanding and creating more Boston jobs.

Northern Light today reported that 2015 was its most successful year since launching the company in 2003 with a focus on providing strategic research portals to research-driven enterprises.

Billings increased 21 percent over 2014, and the company added seven Fortune 1000 clients in the information technology, pharmaceutical, healthcare, insurance and publishing industries.

Northern Light launched its first mobile apps, Northern Light IT News™, available for iOS, Android, BlackBerry and Windows Phone devices. In addition, Northern Light launched Millie (http://millie.northernlight.com), the first market and competitive intelligence portal available free on the web.

Millie is structured as a series of industry-specific dashboards – information technology, life sciences, healthcare, financial services, energy, agribusiness, chemical, and food and beverage.

“Northern Light saw tremendous growth this year, which is a testimony to the strength of our technology and our hard-earned reputation for client service,” C. David Seuss, Northern Light’s CEO, said. “As a small company serving some of the world’s largest enterprises, you have to be more than just good – you have to be great. It’s gratifying to know that we make the grade every day.

“One of the benefits of success is being able to give back more to our local community,” Seuss added. “Not only did Northern Light continue its sponsorship of The Salvation Army’s Thanksgiving meals campaign, ‘No One Hungry’, in 2015, the initiative delivered 11,000 free meals – 10 percent more than last year – to needy families in the Boston area.  And we also continued to provide laptop computers and backpacks to graduates of theCity of Cambridge’s ‘Bridging the Gap’ program for at-risk teens.”
