SessionM is expanding and hiring for Boston engineering jobs.
The company hired Gerald Hewes as Vice President of Engineering and Amy Jerusalmi as Vice President of Client Services and Deborah Powsner as Senior Director of Marketing.
Hewes joins SessionM from Apple, Inc., where he built and led iAd’s analytics, optimization and insights team. In his new role, Hewes will utilize his experience in mobile, e-commerce, advertising, big data, analytics and large-scale systems to enhance the SessionM offering.
Prior to joining SessionM, Jerusalmi was at Apple, via the acquisition of Quattro Wireless, where she managed the iAd account management team and was responsible for building relationships with prospective and existing clients, as well as streamlining sales operations.
Prior to this role, Powsner led research and marketing outreach for Google’s B2B, Government and Local Markets direct sales organization in North America. During this time, she also co-led the development and curation of Google’s first e-book, “Winning the Zero Moment of Truth,” also referred to as “ZMOT.”
In an article the company said its desire is to change the face of mobile engagement, enabling advertisers and developers to deliver mobile experiences that are more entertaining, social and rewarding.
The company is also expanding geographically. It is expanding its presence beyond its headquarters in Boston, opening offices in cities across the US, including New York City, Chicago, San Francisco and Los Angeles. New hires Hewes and Jerusalmi will join the SessionM team in the Boston office; Powsner will join the New York City office.
