Some jobs in Boston were actually added during March, and the city’s unemployment rate did not increase.

The Boston-Cambridge-Quincy area had an unemployment rate of 7.4 percent during March, the same as during February. The area had a total non-farm employment of 2,413,100 workers, according to the United States Department of Labor Bureau of Labor Statistics.
