Posted on June 12, 2011

RKG, an online marketing firm, said it will be opening a Massachusetts office and recruiting for marketing jobs in Boston.

The firm is also hiring Paul Wilson to serve as Executive Vice President of Client Development. Wilson, who spent eight years at iProspect culminating in the role of Chief Revenue Officer, will further catalyze and manage growth at RKG as the company expands its proprietary service offerings and delivers marketing services to a broader set of vertical markets. During his tenure at iProspect, Wilson delivered a 10x increase in revenue, overseeing the firm’s new client development strategy through periods of dramatic marketplace evolution.

“RKG is ideally positioned to capitalize on emerging trends in online marketing and is ready to scale,” said Paul Wilson, Executive Vice President of RKG. “RKG’s core strength is unrivaled depth in data management and analytics, both from an IT infrastructure and human capital perspective. Paired with a solid breadth of services, RKG offers what Fortune 500 companies in retail, travel, finance and other verticals need to succeed online. I’ve met with many of the world’s leading brands and they are looking for a digital marketing firm that delivers a proprietary end-to-end digital marketing solution. I have joined RKG because they have developed a proven, proprietary end-to-end solution for online marketing!”

In addition to iProspect, Wilson has held senior management positions at Northern Light Technology, Gannett Broadcasting, and Tribune Broadcasting. He is also a regularly featured speaker and contributing writer on the subject of online marketing. Wilson is a graduate of Georgetown University in Washington, DC.

“RKG is committed to growing its footprint, but only in a way that maintains our unique commitment to client service and the overall quality of our analyst team,” said George Michie, Chief Executive Officer of RKG. “Paul understands that culture, philosophy and approach matters. As RKG continues to grow our search marketing capabilities, increase adoption for our Attribution Management platform and expand further into display, mobile and Facebook advertising, Paul is exactly the right person to help RKG fulfill our market potential.”

Wilson joining as EVP follows the arrival of John T. Shea as Vice President of Strategic Accounts. Formerly a Senior Agency Sales Executive at Google, Shea led the company’s business development activities with many of the leading SEM agencies. Together, Wilson and Shea will open a Boston, MA office for RKG and split time between Boston, MA and Charlottesville, VA.
